Recomended Recipes

I am going to try and post one recipe per week that is either a tried and true favorite or perhaps something new that hit my fancy. This weeks pick is true to form...Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies. I tweeked my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and came up with this. It is a large recipe, so if you try it you may want to freeze some cookie balls to bake later.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
1 Cup butter (softened)
1 Cup creamy peanut butter
1 box brown sugar (about 2 1/3 cups)
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 Tablespoons vanilla
1 1/2 tsps. soda
1 1/2 tsps. salt
1 Cup cocoa powder
5 Cups flour
1-2 bags peanut butter chips. (2 bags is a little much, but you need more than one. You can use one bag of peanut butter chips plus 1 cup of chocolate chips)
Directions:
Cream the butter, peanut butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and continue beating. Add the dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in the chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons on baking sheet (I line mine with parchment paper which works great). Flatten each cookie with the bottom of a glass. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.. do not over bake! Let cool for a few minutes on the pan before removing. Enjoy!
