Our Christmas Festivities...

...began on Christmas Eve. We went to church and then got together at Mark and Susanne's house for our annual waffle supper. Waffles with syurp or peanut butter and white sauce, German sausage and sliced oranges has been our menu for more years than I can remember. Lo-cal it is not! On Christmas Day Bob and I were on our own since Jill and Jay and Katie and John were with the "in-laws". We enjoyed our quiet, rainy Christmas Day and even took in a movie, "The Curious Case of
Benjamin Button" (very good!). That evening we got together with Bob's sister and brother-in-law and their family for dinner. Our kids were also able to join us, so we were not entirely family-less on Christmas Day!

On the 26th we got together with the Penner family. We started out with brunch and enjoyed a few activities during the day. The women played Mexican Train...

The guys helped pick all the oranges on my parents very bountiful tree...

The fruits of their labor...

Getting ready for our annual picture. We were 22 out of 32 this year. Steve was the lone representative of his family since the boys and Sina are out of state or country and Glena got sick and couldn't be with us. David and family celebrated in Virginia.

A picture of our six (and a half :)...

The loooong dinner table...

Ready to eat....

Grandma Donna painted a picture for each of the grandkids and their spouses...

We had ourselves a Merry Little Christmas, I hope you did too!
