Morro Bay

Last week I spent a couple of days in Morro Bay with my old college friends. Julie has a beautiful house there that we stayed in and we had a great time catching up with each other. We decided to take a field trip to Hearst Castle. Here is the gorgeous fresh water pool that just makes you want to dive right in.

The gardens are lush and colorful.

These hydrangeas are the prettiest I have ever seen.

After visiting the castle we headed north a short distance and visited the elephant seals. An added bonus was running into Shafterites Jim and Margo, who are docents. Margo told us all about the seals and was very impressive with her knowledge! The seals are truly a sight to behold.

Here we are, not looking a day older than we did in college :)

Sue, Debbie, Julie, Sharon
Later that day Sue showed us how to make fondant and then we decorated cookies. This was so much fun, and as you can see our cookies turned out so cute. A perfect thing to make for a shower or luncheon.
We had a great time and I look forward to getting together again next year!
