MCC Sale

Friday afternoon we headed up to Fresno for the annual MCC Sale. We had dinner at the sale, saw a lot of family and then spent the night at Jill and Jay's home. Saturday started out early, since we had to be at the "Run for Relief" bright and early. My brother Steve and my nephew Brian organize this 10k run and 2mile fun run, so they depend heavily on family labor to pull it off. It starts at 7am which means the help needs to arrive closer to 6am. We had a good time together and Henry got to experience his first MCC event. The t-shirt was a little large, but it won't be long before he grows into it.

The main fundraiser at the sale is a quilt auction. There were 250 quilts this year and so many of them were amazing to look at. My friend Cindy made one of the "premiere" quilts (it is the one on the far left). It was beautiful and we were all excited when it sold for $3700.00! Way to go Cindy!

The MCC sale is always a great place to reconnect with old friends as well as meet new ones (good to finally meet you, Jessie!). It is also good to know you are supporting a great cause.
