Aunts and Cousins and Sisters, Oh My!

On Sunday afternoon I drove and joined my aunts, my cousins, my sister and my mom at the coast for our annual get together. That afternoon we enjoyed the movie "Julie and Julia". On Monday we drove south to Cold Spring Tavern and were treated to a delicious lunch. This restaurant is in a rustic building that was a stagecoach stop 120 or so years ago. To say it is off the beaten track is putting it mildly. We took a few misturns, but we finally found it and it was worth the drive for a unique lunch spot.

The whole gang..Edna in the front, Sharon, Susanne, Brenda, Marian, Mother and Aldeen.

Here we are sitting down for our annual "Veggie" dinner. We go to Avila Barn and pick up fresh vegetables and cook them up for dinner. On the menu this year was corn on the cob, fried red potatoes with red and green bell pepper, cauliflower steamed and then baked with a cheese sauce and green beans expertly prepared by my mom.

Our scrumptious dinner. We were stuffed!

Monday night we played a game of Mexican Train and on Tuesday we took our daily walk, had a late breakfast and then cleaned up and came home. I am so fortunate to have family that enjoys spending time together. Also, as you can tell, we have good genes in our family! My aunts are in their early 90's and are still enjoying life. God is good.

I had a great time. The photos turned out nice. The pic. of the food looks like it belongs in a magazine.
