Robin (aka "Pinky") is one of Bob's Special Olympic's athletes and she was selected to represent the USA in the World Special Olympic Games taking place in Greece. The athletes are chosen through a type of lottery, and she was lucky enough to be picked! She will be leaving on Friday and will be gone for about 3 weeks. She has practiced with the team down in San Diego, but Bob and some of the other coaches have also worked with her locally. Robin is excited to go, but is sad that her local coaches can't accompany her on the trip. To make her feel better they threw a little going away party for her yesterday. We served pizza and I made my special Fudgy Oatmeal Bar cookies, which I have sent on just about every trip Bob has taken with his athletes.
