A Wickedly Good Time

Yesterday morning, bright and early, I and a few friends headed up to San Francisco to see the musical "Wicked". We had seen it in New York and I just had to share the joy of this show with others, so this trip was arranged. We drove up to Pleasanton and parked at the BART station and then rode the train into the city.

Fresh off the train in front of the theater.

We had time to eat lunch so we walked a few blocks to 'wichcraft, an upscale sandwich restaraunt opened by Tom Callichio of "Top Chef" fame. I thought this sounded like an appropriate choice of eatery just before taking in a show all about witches! The food was excellent and we were ready to go see the play.

The Orpheum Theater

The Orpheum Theater was beautiful and ornate, the perfect setting for "Wicked". The show was even better the second time around and my friends thought it was great too. Afterwards we hoped back on to BART, rode back to our car and drove home. It was a perfect day, with good weather, safe travel, wonderful entertainment and lovely company. What could be better?

After the show: Nancy, Sharon, Lisa, Karla, Alison, Stacie and Sara.
