Edna Valley

Every year I go to the beach for a couple of days with my mom, my sister, my aunts (my mom's sisters) and my cousins. Last weekend we once again gathered at Pismo for a time of visiting, eating and laughing. This year we were all missing my Aunt Edna, who passed away a few months ago, so we decided to honor her memory by visiting Edna Valley which is just a short drive to the east of Pismo. On the way we spotted this sign and couldn't resist having Brenda (Edna's daughter) pose by it. Edna would gotten a kick out of it.

There is a winery at Edna Valley so we stopped in for a look. It offered beautiful views of the vineyards and hills...

It also had a great little store with wine (of course)...

and specialty items such as vinegars, oils...

and colorful pasta!
